On July 1, 2019, Francesca Molinari started her term as Joint Managing Editor at the Review of Economic Studies. Molinari will handle manuscripts in the areas of econometrics and applied economics.
"The Review was founded in 1933 by a group of young British and American Economists. It is published quarterly by The Review of Economic Studies Ltd, whose objective is to encourage research in theoretical and applied economics, especially by young economists, and to publish the results in the Journal." The Review "relies on the voluntary service of a pool of high-caliber referees who give their time to write thoughtful and thorough reviews of our manuscripts." It consistently ranks among the top five general interest journals in economics.
In a message to the economics community, Michael Lovenheim, the Donald C. Opatrny ’74 Chair in the Department of Economics, commented that the opportunity "reflects her numerous important research contributions and her resulting high standing in the field."
Francesca Molinari is the H.T. Warshow and Robert Irving Warshow Professor at Cornell University. Her research interests are in econometrics, both theoretical and applied. Most of her theoretical work is in partial identification, while her empirical work is concerned with estimation of risk preferences.
