Overview

Mathieu Taschereau-Dumouchel is an Associate Professor of Economics and the Robert Jain Faculty Fellow at Cornell University. His research lies at the intersection of macroeconomics and applied theory, with a focus on business cycles, production networks, and long-run changes in labor markets. His recent work explores how uncertainty and firm-level decisions shape aggregate outcomes. Mathieu's research has appeared in leading journals, including Econometrica, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Review of Economic Studies, and the Journal of Monetary Economics.

Mathieu received his Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University in 2012. Before joining Cornell in 2017, he was an Assistant Professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a Diplôme d’Ingénieur from École Polytechnique in France and a Bachelor of Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal.
